Recently, we were approached by an influencer with a large following and a highly successful fitness app, who was seeking assistance in hiring a Brand & Marketing Director.
Our client briefed our team that they were looking to onboard a Brand & Marketing Director who can develop marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and growth. The ideal candidate for this role would have at least 5 years’ experience in executing marketing campaign plans, as well as experience of building engagement across social media platforms. Additionally, it was vital that the candidates had experience of CRM tools and Adobe Creative Suite applications such as InDesign and Photoshop. Though we had not worked with this client previously, we were confident that our vast experience recruiting senior appointments within marketing would enable us to source the ideal candidate for this role.
Our team swiftly got to work, allocating a dedicated Account Manager who then curated a unique recruitment campaign to ensure that we engage with highly relevant candidates. In addition, our process involves our own interview and shortlisting stage to fully assess the candidates’ previous experience. Finally, we presented the first round of candidates for our client to review. Spotlight Recruitment always works on the basis of continual improvement, making key evaluations along the way to generate results.
Our client was extremely impressed by the calibre of candidates, so selected four individuals to interview via video call with the founder. As a result, two standout candidates were invited for an in person interview to present a marketing proposal. Our client had to make a difficult decision between the two interviewees, but one particular candidate addressed the presentation brief very well, and were deemed to be the best fit for the position. This candidate was quickly offered the role of Brand & Marketing Director, which they gracefully accepted.
