Since Spotlight Recruitment started in 2008, we have worked with a diverse roster of clients within the retail sector, covering roles across marketing, digital, design, events, and communications. Our retail clients span areas across beauty, entertainment, luxury, and FMCG to name a few. One of our long-standing clients is a global household name within retail, gaming, and licensing. Recently, this valued client tasked our team to recruit a Retail Marketing Associate to join their expanding team.
The Challenge
Our client briefed the team that they were looking to onboard an organised Marketer to assist the execution of retail promotions and activations across Europe. It was clear that the ideal candidate would have a couple of years’ experience in retail marketing and would be confident in managing multiple projects. In addition to this, they were ideally looking for candidates that were educated to degree level or had a relevant marketing qualification. Assured by our past successes with this client and our 15 years of recruitment expertise, our team swiftly began our search.
At Spotlight Recruitment, our process consists of assigning a dedicated Account Manager with strong expertise within the sector, who then devises a bespoke recruitment campaign and conducts extensive executive search to source the ideal candidate for this role. Then, our team carries out our own interviewing and shortlisting process to identify a group of high-standard candidates that fit the criteria.
Within a few days of being briefed on this role, we presented the first round of six candidates for our client to review. To our delight, four were initially selected to put through to the first stage video interview.
The Solution
As a result of the first stage, two highly relevant candidates were selected for a second stage interview, which was an in-person meeting to present a marketing task. One candidate had a great second stage interview with the team’s senior management and was deemed like a great cultural fit within the team, so was consequently offered the role of Retail Marketing Associate. The Spotlight Recruitment team were thrilled to have concluded yet another seamless recruitment process on behalf of our client and continue our long-term partnership.
