Since 2008, Spotlight Recruitment have worked with a large roster of membership bodies and trade associations. We have recruited talented Marketers on behalf of over 500 membership clients, from a wide range of disciplines including health and medical, finance, engineering and pharmaceutical. Having been recommended to us, our team was recently approached by a membership body within engineering to recruit on their behalf for three roles to extend their marketing team.
Our new client was searching for one Digital Content Coordinator and two Membership Coordinators with strong marketing experience to join their growing team. They were on the search for junior candidates with experience in either membership registration or experience of social media and website management. With extensive experience within membership organisations, we began the process of allocating a dedicated account manager and devising a unique campaign for each role. Our client was focused on hiring all three roles in the near future so timing was key.
Our team conducted an extensive executive search and a thorough interviewing and shortlisting stage to find the most suitable candidates for our client. Once a list of several strong candidates was identified, these were proposed to the client for their seal of approval. We were delighted that all seven candidates put forward for the Digital Content Coordinator role were selected for an interview with the Marketing and Communications Manager.
Out of the 7 strong candidates, one candidate was deemed a particularly great fit for the team and offered a second interview and was ultimately offered the position. The whole process was conducted within two weeks – from the candidate being put forward to the client, to being offered the role. As for the membership roles, this followed a similar pattern by which the successful candidates offered the positions were selected from the first round of candidates presented.
