Over the last 15 years, we have had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients operating in the market research sector, recruiting research, marketing, digital, design, and communications professionals on their behalf. Some of these clients cover areas such as consumer research, AI, and analytics and strategy. One of our long-standing clients is a global market research organisation with offices in more than 60 countries worldwide. We have assisted this client with recruitment for many roles over the years, and they recently approached our team to help hire a Senior Project Manager to join their UK team.
The Spotlight Recruitment team were briefed that they were looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who would be responsible for managing market research projects and representing the business to some of their global clients. In addition, the ideal candidate would have great working knowledge of SPSS as well as strong experience in online market research and survey software. We assigned a dedicated Account Manager with significant expertise in this sector, who began crafting a tailored recruitment campaign tailored to our client’s needs. It was important to the client that the candidates would have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, so this guided our own interviewing and shortlisting process. Once we had collated a group of highly relevant candidates, these were presented to our client.
For this particular role, the interview process consisted of two stages, the first of which being an online video call, and the second being an in-person interview in their office. Our client was very satisfied with the calibre of candidates and selected four individuals to invite to the first interview. Two candidates stood out among the rest and were consequently selected for the second and final interview. As a result, the client decided to offer the role to the candidate who had slightly more relevant experience and seemed to be a great cultural fit within the team. Final advice around the offer stage and the package was conveyed, with both parties happy to accept terms for their new Senior Project Manager to join the team. We were delighted to conclude yet another successful and efficient recruitment process for this client, and we sincerely look forward to recruiting on their behalf again in the future.
