Since Spotlight Recruitment started in 2008, we have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients within the manufacturing sector, covering roles across marketing, design, digital and communications. Our manufacturing clients span areas including mechanical and electrical components, chemicals, building products and materials to name a few. One of our long-standing clients is a global, world-leading manufacturer of consumer products with a rich history of innovation. Recently, this valued client tasked the team at Spotlight Recruitment to recruit a confident, commercial-minded Marketing Manager.
Our client briefed us that they were looking for a Marketing Manager with previous experience in brand management, specifically within the FMCG industry. In addition to this, they were looking for a candidate that was educated to degree level, had some people management experience, and had experience evaluating media performance and making formal business recommendations. Assured by our past successes with this client and our many years of recruitment expertise, we began our search.
At Spotlight Recruitment, our process consists of assigning a dedicated account manager with strong expertise within the sector, who then devises a specialised recruitment campaign and conducts extensive executive search to source the ideal candidate for this role. Our team carries out our own rigorous interviewing and shortlisting process to identify a group of excellent candidates that fit the client’s criteria. Within a few days of being briefed on this role, we presented the first round of seven highly relevant candidates to our client. Of these seven candidates, four were selected by the client to be put through to the first stage of video interview.
As a result of the first stage, two exceptional candidates were selected for a second stage interview, which involved presenting a case study task. One candidate had a great second interview, answering the task brief perfectly, and was consequently asked to interview for the final stage with the team’s senior General Manager for their seal of approval. Unsurprisingly, the General Manager was equally impressed with this stellar candidate, and they offered them the role of Marketing Manager. After yet another speedy and efficient process, we were happy to successfully recruited on behalf of our client and continue our long-term partnership; since this successful placement, we have also been tasked with recruiting for some roles within their events team.
