Over Spotlight Recruitment’s history to date, we have successfully recruited on behalf of over 500 global clients, including a large number that operate in the financial services sector. In 2023 we were approached by a prestigious, Switzerland-based asset management company, with clients across over 60 countries worldwide. This client was looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Manager with a wealth of marketing experience to work remotely from the UK.
After an unsuccessful recruitment process with another agency, our client approached us with the proposition of sourcing a talented and entrepreneurial marketer with a creative mindset and international marketing expertise, to build an effective digital marketing platform for their business. This was a remote role, so our search needed to be focused on candidates that would be comfortable with this working arrangement long-term.
Our client was searching for a senior marketing professional with a successful track record, who can take the lead in areas including SEO strategy, content management across digital platforms, competitor benchmarking and analysis, and reporting on KPIs. Knowing that this client had been looking to recruit for some time, we immediately started our process of allocating a dedicated Account Manager, devising a bespoke campaign, and conducting an extensive executive search to deliver industry-relevant candidates.
After the Spotlight team had conducted detailed interviewing and shortlisting, a total of five highly relevant candidates were represented and obtained interviews with one of the directors. Feedback from both sides was collected and relayed throughout the process to ensure a transparent and constructive line of communication. After this first round of interviews, three of these candidates were selected for the second stage with the other two directors to assess their fit within the company.
The final step
As a result of three successful second-stage interviews, our client had to make a difficult decision to select the candidate that would go to the final stage of meeting with the business owner. One candidate had all of the desired attributes and was deemed to be the best fit within the team, so after the final stage with the business owner, they were delighted to be offered the position. After a quick and efficient process, with success deriving from the first set of five well-matched candidates, Spotlight Recruitment succeeded in finding the Digital Marketing Manager for our client’s team.
