Over our 15-year history, Spotlight Recruitment have forged many successful relationships with global beauty brands across areas including skincare, cosmetics, haircare, and fragrances. Recently, we were approached by an international luxury skincare brand, currently a leading brand in France, looking to expand their business into the UK market. This client was looking to hire an Influencer Manager to join their growing marketing team.
Our client wanted to find a creative and connected Influencer Manager to use their industry network to create and reinforce relationships between the brand and VIPs, creators, and influencers in the UK. Therefore, it was vital that the ideal candidate possess strong knowledge of the UK influencer market to develop the brand’s influencer network and develop brand awareness and reputation. We felt confident that our large network of over 90,000 followers on LinkedIn alone would enable us to source industry-relevant candidates for this role on top of the Influencers we are already representing.
First, we allocated a dedicated Account Manager who conducted rigorous research and executive search and devised a tailored campaign. After the Spotlight team had performed an interviewing and shortlisting process to ensure candidates were a great fit, a selection of highly relevant candidates was delivered to our client. There were some delays regarding the interview process due to the client being situated outside of the UK, however, we arranged first stage video calls with a number of talented and relevant candidates.
From the first round of interviews, three candidates with strong influencer marketing experience were selected for a second interview, which was an in-person meeting with the Founder and a task to prepare prior. As a result, our client was delighted to offer one stellar candidate the Influencer Manager role, who excelled against the other candidates by producing a faultless influencer campaign plan. Our focus is always on a streamlined recruitment process, ensuring a transparent line of communication with candidates and working closely to ensure results are achieved.
