Head of PR – Industrial & Commerce

Job Description:

Our client, one of the UK’s largest industrial and commerce companies, are currently looking for an experienced Head of PR to join their growing team. They are looking for someone who can share the company’s story with their community and beyond, with the aim of improving and maintaining relations and reputation. In addition to remote working (with the occasional London/Nottingham meeting), our client offers private healthcare, pension, 25 days hols (+BH), fantastic office facilities and more.

As Head of PR, you will lead and deliver PR campaigns and strategy, working closely with the marketing team to devise a content-focused marketing strategy that drives business growth. This senior, hands-on role, needs a strategic individual that can use their initiative to create strong media partnerships and drive overall brand awareness. You will use your creativity to produce press releases, newsletters, statements, news articles, responses to media enquiries, and – when needed – crisis communications. As well as taking ownership of customer reviews and company responses and raising awareness of special promotions on 3rd party sites, you will need to stay updated with industry trends to identify new opportunities to improve PR & Communications processes.

What do I need?

• At least 4 years’ experience in public relations (either in-house or agency)
• Proven experience of developing and delivering communication strategies
• Ability to create strong media relationships and respond to media requests
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills
• Ability to handle difficult situations and advise team members on best response
• Excellent organisational and reporting skills
• Ability to organise and plan PR strategies to reach goals
