Social Media Manager – up to £30,000 + benefits

Our innovative education client works with schools, colleges, and universities from around the world and enrich educational experiences to deliver unique opportunities to young people. They are looking for a Social Media Manager for a newly created role that manage their social media channels. To convey their message to key stakeholders, they need to conjure emotions of inspiration, energy and trust through words and images used at major stakeholder touchpoints, including both digital and printed communications.

As Social Media Manager, you’ll be responsible for the developing and implementing their international social media strategy to increase existing brand awareness and community engagement. You will:

  • Develop, implement and manage a social media strategy that targets teachers, parents and students, as well as influencers such as school counsellors or agents
  • Create content calendars, prepare scheduling and post approved content for multiple social channels
  • Define objectives for each social media channel and adapt the strategy by region where appropriate
  • Define our most important social media KPIs, and agree targets with the Marketing Director
  • Develop an analytics dashboard and use it to present performance against target updates on a weekly basis
  • Develop compelling social media content that is on brand, and drives engagement with our target audience
  • Work with external suppliers (designers, copywriters) to develop social media content
  • Build engagement with our alumni to develop user generated content and highlight the impact our courses have on the lives of our students
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimisation

What do I need?

Our client is looking for a savvy marketer with at least 2 years’ social and digital marketing experience, previous experience working with Social Media KPIS, Google Analytics etc is essential. You will have a good eye for detail, confidently bring new engaging content to the table and have strong copywriting and proof-reading skills.

Using your excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be confident when dealing with various internal and external stakeholders and have previous experience of engaging influencers and running social takeovers.
