Marketing Manager

£50,000+ depending on experience

Company Background:

My client is an exciting new start-up who are trying to revolutionise the world of Pet bespoke food.

They have devised a smart electronic neck brace to track the food eaten by the pet and to manage its daily activity.

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the team.

Main Job Tasks Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective global marketing plans for the brand
  • Create and deliver a long-term global brand strategy covering the full marketing mix
  • NPD & EPD launches from concept through to implementation into market to include packaging and re design
  • Develop full consumer and trade global communication plans for the brand to include social media, PR, advertising etc
  • To ensure the development and implementation of robust brand plans (consumer and trade marketing) to achieve agreed marketing objectives.
  • To manage creation of brand assets such as how to guides, catalogue content, product photography and promotional materials, briefing graphic designer or external agencies as required.
  • To develop and implement joint promotional campaigns with PR partners and retail intermediaries
  • To keep abreast of key competitor activity (launches, advertising, promotions, in-store activity and social media)
  • To undertake any ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time by the Marketing Manager and Directors and undertake these tasks in a professional and timely manner at all times.
  • To analyse global sales of brand, by product and channel, to help assess the impact of specific marketing programmes, the success of new product launches and opportunities for future growth and rationalisation
  • To assist in the planning and implementation of trade shows as required

Key Competencies

  • Minimum 2-3 years solid marketing experience across full mix (consumer products)
  • Brand launches / re-launches / re-branding / packaging
  • Strong analytical skills to include consumer insight
  • Strong project management skills
  • Marketing degree or CIM
  • Influencing skills, analytical, tenacious, self-motivated, strong attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working from home/ from a remote office
