Business Development Consultant – Marketing
£30 – 40k, depending on experience

Excellent opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Consultant to join the team of a prestigious communications and marketing agency. With offices based in easily accessible South West London, our client is an award winning agency that strives to assist brands and organisations in enhancing their reputations and realising their marketing potential through engaging with a wide spectrum of people and third parties.

The Business Development Consultant will have responsibility for growing the organisation’s client base and contribute to the growth of the department. Working within the Business Development team, the successful candidate will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for the Marketing department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and generating new leads and opportunities
  • Working towards sales targets, tracking and recording sales activity
  • Prospecting and selling solutions to new clients
  • Building and maintaining new and existing relationships with clients
  • Planning bespoke approaches and pitches that are tailored to each client
  • Working with the Marketing team to develop new offers and channels for clients
  • Working with the Research team to identify impact or insight evidence for Business Development opportunities
  • Representing the organisation and attending external events

Whilst this role sits within the Business Development Team, the successful candidate will work with the Marketing team and liaise with the Marketing Director to discuss strategy and present results.

Skills and experience required:

  • A proven track record in successfully selling a range of marketing and communications products and services
  • Experience in developing communication and marketing strategies
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Confidence to work independently, as well as part of a larger team
  • Good negotiation skills
  • A flexible approach
  • Digitally literate
