Head of Business Development

Head of Business Development, up to £50k + commission (£100k OTE)

This world-renowned travel company is looking for an outstanding individual with a proven sales background to lead and develop their ‘results-driven’ sales team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, structure, appraise and motivate a world class sales team
  • Hire, train, mentor and develop sales team to the highest of standards and results
  • Monitor, direct and drive revenue sales streams through vertical markets
  • Track, monitor and manage all KPI sales activities driving sales results and improve/beat targets
  • Attend, participate and speak at any relevant seminars/ conferences/ exhibitions/ networking or social events for the travel industry to enhance brand and meet potential clients.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of international clients to list product training on international websites

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this Head of Business Development role you must have the following:

  • Proven experience in a professional sales environment 
  • Can motivate a team, be approachable, bring a collaborative attitude and approach to solving problems
  • Possess strong leadership qualities, attention to detail and ability to prioritise completion of multiple deliverables to deadlines
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate on a professional level with clients, internal teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in the travel industry is desirable but not essential
