  • Having used one agency where the number of candidates dried up fairly quickly I chanced upon Spotlight Recruitment. After briefing them on my requirements I was delighted to receive a steady stream of suitable applicants for my vacant marketing position.

Job application advice from a London marketing recruitment agency

As a top marketing recruitment agency in London we see a lot of great candidates. However, we also feel that a lot of candidates don’t make the most of their skill set, experience and personality, which may mean missing out on that big career opportunity. This can be through poor formatting of your CV, lack of preparation for your interview or simply not highlighting your skills and experience.

Obviously employers looking for jobs in media and recruiting for higher education are going to be looking for different candidates, but there are tips and tricks, which will improve your chances in all areas of the job market, whatever you are looking for.

Thinking about this, we here at Spotlight Recruitment have decided to pan our knowledge and write a four part mini blog series taking you through each stage of the application process based on our recruitment knowledge as one of London’s leading marketing recruitment agencies. These four posts will be a how to, including perfecting your CV, creating a great cover letter, preparing for an interview and performing brilliantly in the interview.

The first post on the ideal CV will appear on the Spotlight marketing recruitment website later this week so keep on the look out! Another blog post will then be put up every couple of days, finishing two weeks from now. This series should help candidates gain a greater knowledge of how to apply to London recruitment agencies and find the perfect job, impressing the recruiter and employer from the start.
